The 4 days and 3-night self-drive safari will take you to explore Bwindi Forest National Park one of Uganda’s most visited national parks in the western part of the country. This safari will reward you with an amazing experience to visit mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. On this safari, you will get a chance to go gorilla trekking trice in Bwindi Forest and you will have a chance to visit two gorilla families in this same forest.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Forest

The self-drive safari always starts with hiring a 4×4 safari vehicle and on the day of starting your safari, you will have to pick the vehicle at the offices of the car rental agency or you can request and they deliver the vehicle to you either at your hotel or at the airport. and after inspecting the vehicle and do all the paperwork, you will set off for the adventurous journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. you will have an en-stop at the Equator for memorable photos and informative talks and later proceed to Mbarara for an en-lunch before you continue to the park through green hills, and flatlands, farmland, and settlement. you will reach the park late evening and check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: 1st Gorilla Trek in Bwindi Forest
Gorilla in Bwindi Forest National Park – Uganda
Have breakfast and thereafter, transfer to the Bwindi Forest National Park headquarters for briefing from the Park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the Gorillas in the jungle, then you will transfer to the starting point for gorilla trekking and you embark on the memorable activity of tracking the amazing apes. Tracking will take you through thick vegetation and the ease of finding the gorillas will depend on the movement of the mountain gorillas within their natural environment. you will be allowed a maximum of one hour with the gorillas to take photos, record videos for remembrance and you will also be free to ask the guide any questions. Later descend to your Lodge for late lunch and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: 2nd Gorilla trekking
After your breakfast, report for a briefing like yesterday, and this time you will trek a different gorilla family from that of yesterday. Meet a different gorilla group exhibiting different dramatic characters than the previously tracked. Take photos and return back to your lodge for relaxation.
Day 4: Departure
On this day, you will say bye to the home of the unique gentle apes (Gorillas). Lunch en route in Mbarara town. Proceed to Entebbe International Airport via Kampala for your flight back home.
